Sergey Kapitonov, an expert at the Energy Transition Center, gave a presentation at the 10th International Liquefied Natural Gas Congress. He underlined the following major challenges for the Russian gas industry: maintaining investment in gas production and the pipeline system, the global context of gas supply, as well as technological and regulatory challenges. The expert also projected how demand may change over time on the liquefied natural gas market and claimed that the most effective response to the challenges on the market should rely on an economically responsible and technologically intensive gas strategy.
