Professor Andrei Osiptsov, the director of the Energy Transition Center, participated in a roundtable on hydrogen energy at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2024. Andrei presented an overview of the hydrogen energy technologies with an emphasis on blue and yellow hydrogen, the comparison of energy storage costs between hydrogen and lithium-ion batteries, as well as on the examples of road maps for electricity, heat, and hydrogen cogeneration via small modular nuclear reactors. The results of the discussion will be included in the recommendations for the legislative bodies of the Government of the Russian Federation engaged in the hydrogen energy agenda.
