Senior Manager Ekaterina Grushevenko from the Energy Transition Center gave an interview to the Sobaka.ru (RUS) digital magazine. Ekaterina clarified the difference between two types of solutions for filtering carbon dioxide: the carbon capture, utilization, and storage technology, on the one hand, and direct air capture, which aims to remove CO2 from the ambient air as opposed to capturing it at factories and other sources of emission. The interview goes into each of the technologies and reflects on why neither of them has been widely adopted so far.
