On November 19, Russia celebrates the Day of the Higher School Teacher. The holiday was established on November 1, 2021. The date was chosen in honour of the birthday of Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, an outstanding Russian scientist and enlightener, one of the founders of Russian education and the founder of Moscow State University, who not only made a huge contribution to the development of natural sciences, but also defended the rights of all classes to receive education.
Tatiana Podladchikova, Director of the Center for Digital Engineering at Skoltech and Head of the Space Weather Laboratory:
"A teacher is not just a source of knowledge, but someone who shapes the future scientist, thinker, researcher, and innovator. They inspire exploration, open new horizons, and turn complex topics into keys to great discoveries."
