Expert from Skoltech's Project Center for Energy Transition and ESG, Ekaterina Grushevenko, delivered a presentation on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies.

These technologies reduce the greenhouse effect and smooth the energy transition. They allow for industrial decarbonization without interfering with the main technological processes. Incorporating CCUS into the decarbonization measures reduces the overall cost of the decarbonization system. Therefore, scientists' primary task for the next 50 years is to create a large-scale industry for carbon capture, transportation, beneficial utilization, and storage.

For more details on Ekaterina's presentation, which examines the key environmental benefits of CCUS and suggests steps for developing these technologies in Russia, read the article in Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
