The fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, celebrated female leadership across different industries. A major influential international platform, the forum enabled women from all continents to engage in dialogue and adopt joint decisions on key issues. This year, Skoltech organized two events at the forum — the international teleconference between Russia and Serbia and the TED Talk session. Irina Gayda, the deputy director of the Energy Transition Center, moderated a session titled “The Blue Ocean: New Opportunities for Women” and a business breakfast on the new trends in the climate and ecology agenda. As a co-moderator, Irina appeared at a session that sought to establish women’s role in managing natural resources. Also, Irina joined two sessions as a speaker — she shared her expertise in the discussions on corporate practices of supporting motherhood and women’s contributions to the energy transition in BRICS countries. At the special event, which recognized women’s efforts in fighting for the clean planet and food security, Irina joined an open discussion on the development of the Russian Arctic and the role of women in it.
