Ekaterini Xagorari also got acquainted with the Laboratory of Hybrid Photonics at the Skoltech Photonics Center, headed by Professor Pavlos Lagoudakis. In 2019, laboratory scientists developed the world’s first fully optical polariton transistor capable of operating at room temperature and having an unprecedentedly high gain ratio. The center is also working on a technology for using single-layer carbon nanotubes. For their research, the researchers were awarded several prestigious awards — the Vyzov Prize, the V. S. Letokhov Prize for Young Scientists, and the Y. I. Ostrovsky Prize.
