NAUKA 0+ Open Week in China: presentations by Skoltech scientists

The NAUKA 0+ Open Week will take place from October 24 to 29 at the MSU-SPI University in Shenzhen, China. The popular science program NAUKA 0+ is one of the key elements of Russian-Chinese scientific cooperation and a joint project to popularize natural sciences. The NAUKA 0+ Open Week is included in the list of events to popularize science of the Decade of Science and Technology.


The slogan of the festival is "The future is already here", and the exhibition and various events will be divided into thematic blocks: "Natural Sciences", "Space", "Artificial Intelligence" and "Culture and Art". The Open Science Week will feature lectures by more than 50 members of the Russian and Chinese academies of Sciences, scientific sessions, exhibitions with interactive expositions, creative workshops, scientific shows, excursions to Russian-Chinese scientific laboratories, scientific quests, contests and master classes.


Skoltech will take part in the scientific program of the festival along with other research institutes, technological corporations and universities, including Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian Academy of Sciences, Roscosmos, the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Physics of Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Organoelement Compounds of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Trinity Separate Division of the FIAN, the Institute of Pulmonology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, AI Institute of Artificial Intelligence.


Professor Artem Oganov will give a lecture "The Amazing universe — a journey to the bowels of the planets." It will reveal how the universe and planets are made, as well as the secrets of new biomaterials. Professor Ivan Oseledets will devote his speech to the mathematics of deep learning. Professor Evgeny Burnaev will reveal the topic of artificial intelligence in connection with sustainable development.
