The agreement seeks to develop high-tech technologies and products. The organizations will jointly carry out research, develop and implement educational programs, as well as attract leading Russian and foreign professors to prepare specialists in priority areas of cooperation.

“Rostec is Russia’s largest manufacturing corporation, which covers many industries and creates high-tech products. Skoltech is a technological university that aims to develop advanced research competencies and specific technological solutions for the real sector. The partnership with the Institute will help conduct research and develop technologies in the most demanded areas, foster scientific and industrial practices, and create new high-tech products, from innovative medicines to new-generation energy storage devices,” said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.

“The signing of the agreement with Rostec is an important milestone for the Institute as a leading platform where world-class technological challenges are tackled in sectors important for the development of the country’s economy. I am confident that joint work in high-tech civilian products will be fruitful,” said Viktor Vekselberg, the chairman of the Skoltech Board of Trustees.

Skoltech places a special focus on creating a foundation for launching its own development lines. Its current portfolio involves works in the areas of technological leadership for the industry — they include modern communication technologies, AI engineering technologies, energy storage systems, etc.
