Dmitry Kazakov is doing research and R&D in the area of semiconductor laser technology and integrated photonics with applications in sensing and communications. He obtained the BSc degree in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich, and MSc and PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University, where he developed a platform for nonlinear integrated mid-infrared photonics as part of his dissertation work. Dmitry has worked in research laboratories in the United States, Switzerland, and Austria. He holds three U.S. patents and has co-authored over twenty journal articles in the areas of laser frequency combs, metasurfaces, and nanophotonics.
