The aim of the project is to test the hypothesis postulating that the molecular mechanisms of diseases, especially the mechanisms associated with negative symptoms characteristic of both schizophrenia and depression, may be similar. The most promising approach is analysis of the representation of polar metabolites and nonpolar metabolites (lipids).
