Plantery: modular vertical farms for the Arctic

Plantery is a startup that addresses the issue of high cost of vegetables and leafy greens in the Arctic regions of Russia by making vertical farming more accessible. Due to logistical difficulties, assembling full-scale vertical farms in the Arctic is often unprofitable or even impossible. Modular architecture presents a promising solution to this issue. A novel type of farm that the startup is developing significantly reduces installation costs and eliminates the need for a construction team to be on site for extended periods of time. The greenhouses are assembled with fully autonomous, isolated farm modules, which can be combined in various configurations depending on the client's demand.

Advantages include:

Insulation down to -40°. Stable microclimate inside even at extremely low temperatures.

Installation and start-up in the shortest possible time. No large-scale construction is required.

Energy saving for heating and lighting.
