Neuroimaging and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory

Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience focuses on functional neuroimaging and neurofeedback applications in health and disease.

It is critical to develop novel approaches to better understand personality, provide individually specific early detection and rehabilitation of neurological and psychiatric diseases, support healthy longevity, social and individual well-being.
Laboratory uses advanced behavioral metrics, neuroimaging data and analyses to understand brain network dynamics and neurobiology of brain function. These findings create the basis for development of volitional rehabilitation protocols based on multi-modal neurofeedback applications.

Potential student projects:

1. Neurobiology of brain function and dysfunction, using fMRI, EEG and MRS. Implications for emotion regulation, visual spatial perception, attention, and sensory systems.

2. Functional brain data acquisition and analyses in healthy and clinical populations: network activity and connectivity.

3. Neurofeedback and real-time fMRI data processing methods and applications in healthy and clinical populations. Neurofeedback software OpenNFT.org (http://opennft.org/).

4. Machine learning approaches for assessment of psychophysiological states, EEG and fMRI insights.

5. Virtual Reality for psychophysiology.
